Met vier sessies vol energie, discipline en passie vertegenwoordigde onze delegatie van 21 atleten Aruba met trots en verzamelde 70 medailles: 29 goud, 23 zilver en 18 brons. Veel persoonlijke records (PR’s) werden verbeterd, en het team toonde een voorbeeldige teamgeest en doorzettingsvermogen.

Hoogtepunten Sessie 1Stingray opende de competitie met een sterke instelling en behaalde 7 goud, 8 zilver en 4 brons. Leandro Santiesteban, Iva Werleman, Emma Ponson en Richmyra Hoen vielen op in verschillende evenementen, terwijl andere atleten—Mary-Ann, Rosaleen, Vira en Emiliano—ook uitblonken. De sterke estafettes van jongens 9–10 en 13–14 wonnen goud; meisjes 13–14 zilver; en jongens 11–12 brons.

Stingray behield een competitief niveau tot de laatste heat, wat consistentie en vastberadenheid liet zien.

The Stingray Swimming Team Aruba concluded an extraordinary weekend at the Siegfried Francisco Invitational 2025 in Curaçao. With four sessions of competition filled with energy, discipline, and passion, our delegation of 21 athletes proudly represented Aruba, collecting 70 medals: 29 gold, 23 silver, and 18 bronze. Many personal bests (PBs) were broken, and the team demonstrated exemplary spirit and determination.

Session 1 HighlightsStingray opened the competition with a strong attitude, earning 7 gold, 8 silver, and 4 bronze. Leandro Santiesteban, Iva Werleman, Emma Ponson, and Richmyra Hoen stood out in several events, while other athletes—Mary-Ann, Rosaleen, Vira, and Emiliano—also shone. Athletes continued to achieve PBs and finished strong after an intense three-day schedule. Stingray maintained a competitive level until the final heat, showing consistency and determination.

High Point Trophy: Extraordinary Achievement for StingrayThe culmination of the competition brought great pride: several Stingray athletes won High Point Trophies in their categories, a clear sign of consistency, dominance, and excellence throughout the event. This award is given only to athletes who achieve the highest total points over the four competition sessions. It recognizes talent, discipline, and consistent performance.

Zeven atleten van het Stingray Swimming Team hebben geprofiteerd van een extra trainingssessie in het Davie Pine Island Fitness & Aquatics Center samen met Elite Coach van Team Azura, Sr. Gustavo Rasia. Deze training was de laatste voorbereiding voor de Short Course wedstrijd in yards, die zal plaatsvinden in Plantation, Fort Lauderdale, VS.

Aanstaande donderdag zijn de zeer gemotiveerde Stingray Swimming Team zwemmers klaar voor de officiële opening van de 35e editie van het jaarlijkse Winterkampioenschap, van 11 tot 14 december 2025, onder leiding van Coach Paolo Inocencia. Vandaag bereiden alle zwemmers zich vol spanning voor in het Plantation Aquatic Complex om mentaal klaar te zijn om Aruba in topvorm te vertegenwoordigen.

Meer dan 1.200 zwemmers zullen aan dit evenement deelnemen, dat wordt beschouwd als een zeer belangrijke zwemwedstrijd voor onze Arubaanse zwemmers. Wij wensen iedereen veel succes en hopen dat ze Aruba trots maken!
